Volunteers wanted to support junior girls cricket teams

Team Connect is looking for local volunteers to support teams on a Saturday morning

Team Connect is a Not For Profit community engagement program that supports girls from traditionally low participation groups to participate in community cricket.

Team Connect recently won the Cricket Australia National Initiative of the Year Award.

Team Connect supports  U13 girls’ teams that are coached and managed by committed volunteer schools staff.  We need some community volunteers to help out these teams.

If you have benefited from sport as a child and are keen to support other children benefit from the same, please have a look at the roles below and contact me if you want more information.

I guarantee that the rewards for supporting these teams will far outweigh any personal investment.

Please have a look at this lovely video from the Belmont team last season https://drive.google.com/open?id=14htJqJByv9QVJIOQCtXGtqUTwNrCz9ZG

Belmont City College U13 Girls team. These girls play for Ascot Eagles Junior Cricket Club.

We need someone local with a bus licence to help get the girls to their away games. We have access to a bus.

We need a volunteer to bring the shade shelter each week, set it up and support the girls.

While a single individual could fill all roles for each team it would be fantastic for the girls the more people that are available to assist, encourage and support with each team. This also provides back up to share the load and for times when others can’t make it. Please contact me (details below) if you would like to be involved in this wonderful initiative.
